Bought this Buzz Lightyear spaceship for my sons 5th birthday. He is a MASSIVE lego fan and adores buzz too. Personally I had a lot of fun helping him put it together and the little buzz figure is impossibly cute!! Although, being lego, it can come apart easily, I feel it teaches kids how to be careful with fragile things and if all else fails they can put it back together again. Thoroughly recommend. A toy that keeps on giving.

My two boys, 3 and 4, are both Toy Story crazy and the eldest in particular was desparate for this Lego set - although I did see that it was for 7+ age range, I got it for him anyway because often the younger stuff is too simple for him. It has driven me BONKERS since we got it, it took ages to put together, the bits are really small and fiddly and easy to loose, and then once it is finally assembled, it looks great but falls apart at the slightest movement. My eldest son really takes care of his toys (unlike Babyzilla, his younger brother), but this was practically impossible to keep intact. I finally, in desperation, took to sticking each piece that fell off together with Superglue but even that didn't work - there were just too many bits that fell off/ apart. It's incredibly frustrating both for him and me, he is desperate to play with it but it's just too delicate and no fun at all. To sum up: Buy it for a child who just likes assembling these things rather than actually playing them. And make sure you have a magnifying glass and lots of patience to hand while you're at it.

It is a great piece of lego engineering however it does tend to fall apart quite easily much to the frustration of my boy. The rocket boosters, doors and one part of the cockpit seem to be the problem areas

My 4 year old son is Toy Story mad, so I was delighted to see this lego - with the help of his 6 year old brother, he was able to build this and although it is a bit delicate in his hands, he is happy to wait for repairs and is delighted with his buzz lightyear spaceship - great!
